Trade Athletes — The Sports Trading Exchange
1.1 Acceptance: By accessing or using Trade Athletes, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1.2 Platform Description: Trade Athletes is a peer-to-peer (P2P) sports trading exchange where users buy and sell shares of professional athletes. Share prices are determined by real-world performance, market supply and demand, and AI-driven analytics. Users trade with each other — Trade Athletes acts as the exchange operator, not a counterparty.
1.3 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding agreements in your jurisdiction. You must complete identity verification (KYC) before trading. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
2.1 Currency: All transactions on Trade Athletes are denominated in USDC (USD Coin), a regulated stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US Dollar. USDC holds real monetary value.
2.2 Deposits: You may deposit USDC into your Trade Athletes wallet through approved payment methods. Deposits are credited upon confirmation.
2.3 Withdrawals: You may withdraw available USDC at any time, subject to identity verification and anti-fraud checks. Processing times vary by payment method. Funds locked in open orders are not available for withdrawal until the order is cancelled or filled.
2.4 Account Balances: Your balance reflects deposited USDC plus/minus trading profits and losses, dividends received, and commissions paid. Trade Athletes is not a bank and does not pay interest on idle balances.
Key principle: Every trade on Trade Athletes is between two users. When you buy shares, another user is selling them. Trade Athletes never takes the other side of your trade.
3.1 Order Types: Market orders execute at the best available price. Limit orders execute only at your specified price or better. Stop-loss and take-profit orders trigger automatically when price conditions are met.
3.2 Commission: Trade Athletes charges a 2% commission on every matched trade, split equally between buyer and seller (1% each). This fee is deducted automatically at execution.
3.3 Order Book: All open orders are displayed on the order book. You can see current bids (buy orders) and asks (sell orders) for every athlete. You may match against existing orders or place your own.
3.4 Price Discovery: Athlete share prices are determined by: real-world performance statistics (goals, assists, points, etc.); supply and demand from user trading activity; AI fair value calculations; news sentiment and market events (injuries, transfers, match results).
3.5 Order Expiry: Limit orders expire after 7 days by default unless otherwise specified. Expired buy orders have their locked USDC refunded automatically.
3.6 Trade Settlement: Trades are settled instantly upon matching. Shares are transferred and USDC is debited/credited immediately.
4.1 Dividends: Shareholders may receive periodic dividend payments based on their holdings. Dividend rates are set by the platform and may change. Dividends are paid in USDC and credited automatically to your wallet.
4.2 Staking: You may choose to stake shares for additional yield. Staked shares cannot be sold until unstaked. Staking rewards are distributed according to the published schedule.
Important: Trading athlete shares involves financial risk. Share prices can go up or down. You may lose some or all of your invested USDC. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Only trade with funds you can afford to lose.
5.1 Market Risk: Athlete share prices fluctuate based on real-world events including injuries, transfers, suspensions, and performance changes.
5.2 Liquidity Risk: Some athlete shares may have limited trading volume, making it difficult to buy or sell at your desired price.
5.3 No Guarantees: Trade Athletes does not guarantee profits or protection against losses. All trading decisions are your own responsibility.

Violations will result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of balances, and potential reporting to regulatory authorities.
7.1 Copy trading allows you to automatically replicate trades executed by other users. You are fully responsible for enabling, configuring, and monitoring any copy trading relationships.
7.2 Past performance of copied traders does not guarantee future results. Trade Athletes is not responsible for losses incurred through copy trading.
7.3 You may set daily trade limits, stop-loss, and take-profit thresholds for copy trading. You can pause or terminate copy trading at any time.
8.1 The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Trade Athletes does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service.
8.2 Trade Athletes is not liable for: trading losses; service interruptions or downtime; errors in player statistics or pricing data; actions of other users; losses caused by unauthorized access to your account.
8.3 Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount of USDC in your wallet at the time of the claim.
9.1 You may close your account at any time. Open orders will be cancelled and available USDC returned to your wallet for withdrawal.
9.2 Trade Athletes reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Trade Athletes after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
